My Story

KXBUILT goes back as far as late 2024.

At the time, I was a college dropout trying to figure out what direction I wanted to take in life. The one thing I always came back to was working on my Tundra. Installing parts, learning as I went, and slowly realizing that building vehicles was more than just something I did to stay busy.

That eventually led me to Universal Technical Institute, where I earned my Associate in Occupational Studies along with BMW specific certifications before beginning my career at a BMW dealership.

KXBUILT started shortly after, and at first, it wasn’t supposed to become much of anything. The LLC was originally created as a way to organize expenses, and to write off tools. I grew to love off-roading and mudding and led to wanting to make my own tundra into a pre-runner. However with that thought in mind, no shops in Arizona we’re willing to take in my truck. Any shop that agreed we’re charging an arm & a leg. That eventually led to learning to weld on my free time and understanding how coilovers and bypasses function so I can make them work on my own vehicle.

With the amount saved from my BMW checks and with some help, KXBUILT is growing into a fully equipped operation run out of a 2,400 square-foot shop on my own property.

KXBUILT is about modifying vehicles and components to perform at their highest level for the way they’re used. Whether that means pushing harder on the track, handling rocks or dunes, or improving the overall capability of the vehicle as a whole.

Every build has a purpose, and every modification should move it closer to that purpose.
